August News…
As I write this the rain has just started to tumble down… one can almost hear the trees and fields breathing a huge satisfied sigh. Definitely a day to sit cosily round the fire poring over a board game or curled up with a good book – of course, along with Humphrey! This is when the fruit trees pop with blossoms and new life appears – like eight little goslings on the dam!
Our cows have not subdivided yet, but the calves are due by end August so we wait expectantly. We would have expired holding our breath waiting for snow – again a possibility this weekend – so we’ll just tell you when it is actually falling…I
f you are a forwarded planner, we still have space for the Ionia Cherry Festival Weekend 18 – 21 November, our Bowls week from 21 – 26 November as well as Christmas and New Year (please book direct). If you are a spur of the moment kind of person, we have space for next week and the cherry blossoms are out!
We said farewell to Michael and Nadia this last week as they move to greener pastures and Braden Jouxson joined our team. His family have joined us as guests for the past nine years and now he will be looking after you on your next visit -passing on the Wyndford DNA!!
We are so excited about the behind the scene work going on to ensure that this graceful old lady that is Wyndford, continues for the next generations. A team of young enthusiastic talented guests (go for a coffee at Roast Republic, Sloane Square – just saying!) are pulling together, rounding up other likeminded guests who all wish to know that the past memories remain and new ones made. We are also going to be working with Woodpecker Travel and Tours from Johannesburg – a great way for you to put your feet up and relax – let someone else worry about the potholes…. and enjoy Wyndford and surrounds!
Best thing for you to do help Wyndford…. Book a holiday, pay a deposit… something to look forward to! We hope to welcome you soon – Warm greetings from the Wyndford Team
