100…and counting!
Milly is bored and keeps digging holes in the garden!! She isn’t the only one, Stormer and Bandit are missing the kids confidences as they plod along the driveway – Rocky on the other hand worked out long ago that to position himself under Jenny and Natasja’s feet in reception, is to ensure half hourly back rubs…
So starts the 101st year for Wyndford. We would love for you to share your treasured memories and send us your pictures – with a date! ( so we get the order right) to help us compile a Coffee Table book. We do realise that Wyndford is so much older than digital but if you scan it and send it … we don’t want for you not be in there!!
Just a reminder that we have a vacancy at Wyndford… for new owners. If you are ready for an amazing lifestyle experience – get in touch with lindy@wyndford.co.za. Thank you for all the messages, be assured we are not going far, the Eastern Free State is just too beautiful!
The countryside is indeed lush – yes really! We have had good rains and the sandstone mountains are interspersed with green grass, amazing looking mielies (well done to our farmers!) and wildflowers wherever you look. Blues, purples, yellows, white – something special to see. So, make a plan to join us on the 6 – 8 March when Pieter Bester, National Herbarium, takes us walking and talking through the mountains and flowers at Wyndford.
A quick visit through the kitchen revealed delicious Lamb Pies for lunch (smell was amazing) and dinner is going to start with Roast Garlic soup and end with an amazing Frozen Chocolate Mousse slice… tempting? We are still enjoying fresh organic produce from the garden including carrots, red onions, leeks, marrows, lettuce, spinach and more… oh and Basil says he is flourishing too!
Round up the family for a special birthday or anniversary, a quite retreat for valentines weekend… we hope to be welcoming you soon.
