Terms and conditions for reservations

Check in 12noon, Check out 10am

The period of occupation is from 12h00 on the day of arrival.  Please advise as to what meal you will join us for on day of arrival.  The period of occupation concludes at 10h00 on the day of departure or as stated on the booking confirmation.  Extensions are subject to availability and must be accepted as a separate reservation requiring due confirmation.  Where rooms are not vacated by 10h00 an extra days accommodation may be charged.

Access

Please note that the gate is locked every evening at ± 9pm and reopened at ± 6.30am.  Should you be out late or be leaving early, please arrange accordingly with our management team.

Deposit & tariff

The first night without add-ons is charged when the booking is made. The hotel reserves the right to increase the quoted tariff without notice and guests are liable to pay the tariff applicable at time of arrival.  No reductions will be allowed for periods of absence or for meals not taken. Please note that deposits are not refundable. Payments can be made by Master/Visa Cards, EFT’s & cheques. Regrettably no American Express.  Minimum of two nights stay over weekends. Please enquire about our wheelchair-friendly rooms.

Cancellation policy

  • Free cancellation if cancelled up to 56 days prior to arrival.
  • If cancelled 55 days before check-in, 25% of the booking amount is charged.
  • If cancelled 30 days before check-in, 50% of the booking amount is charged.
  •  If cancelled 14 days before check-in, 100% of the booking amount is charged.

The confirmation is a contract and you will be required to pay the full amount regardless of cancellation or part cancellation. The reservation may not be transferred, nor may occupation be taken by anyone other than the people for whom the booking has been made, except by specific arrangement with the management.

Loss & damage

Notwithstanding common law rights, it is the express condition of occupancy of this resort that the management is not responsible for loss or damage suffered by any person to his property or person, whether arising from fire, theft, or wrongful act of any person or property or otherwise.

Guests will be responsible for all breakages, shortages or loss occurring during their stay to any linen, furniture, effects and fittings contained in their apartment or caused by them in or about the resort.

Animals

No animals may be brought or kept on the premises.  Due to our furry & feathered family we are strictly a no pet zone. Although our dogs and cats are friendly – they are not permitted in the rooms.

Meals

Meals are served in our dining room at the following times:
Breakfast:  8am – 9am.
Lunch:  1pm – 2pm.
Dinner:  7pm – 8pm.

Tea is served in the Summerhouse at 11am and 4pm. and hot chocolate is served in dining room in the evenings until 9.15pm.  (Tea facilities are available in our luxury rooms).

We are not licensed, but you are most welcome to bring your own drinks. We do have a tuck shop with a small variety of cold drinks. 

Dress: smart casual (preferably no shorts for dinner please). No cooking or preparation of food by guests is permitted. All meals served in rooms will be charged extra.

Facilities

Pool towels are not provided – please bring your own. Extra costs not included in our tariffs include:

  1.   Telephone calls & faxes
  2.   Laundry service
  3.   Games equipment hire
  4.   Special teas and coffees
  5.   Babysitting for evening meals on request with prior notice
  6.   Horse riding

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted indoors, including the bedrooms, dining room or main lounge.

Phones

Please note we have no South African cell phone signal, and all calls to or from your cell phone will be international rates. There are phones available in our rooms.  Complimentary WiFi is available in communal areas.
