Happy New Year! As we reflect on a joyful December, it’s clear that this past month was filled with unforgettable moments, festive cheer, and new beginnings. It’s a privilege to share these highlights with you as we look forward to an exciting year ahead.
December Highlights
EXP Africa Adventure Race
We had the honour of co-hosting the EXP Africa Adventure Race, with a transition point right here at Wyndford. From here, participants cycled along the scenic river road. It was an incredible experience to witness this world-class event and be part of their journey.
Wi-Fi and Camera Upgrades
This month, we installed Wi-Fi and cameras across the entire property, ensuring connectivity and security for our guests. While Wyndford is a place to unwind, we understand the importance of staying connected for those with business commitments or important matters to attend to.
New Wyndford Merchandise
Our shop received a fresh stock of branded Wyndford merchandise, just in time for the festive season. From clothing to keepsakes, it’s the perfect way to bring a piece of Wyndford home with you.
Staff Christmas Celebration
Our wonderful team celebrated Christmas together in style! Staff members received their new uniforms and a heartfelt Christmas gift from Wyndford as a token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work throughout the year.
A Magical Wyndford Christmas
Christmas Eve at Wyndford
Christmas Eve was a beautiful and cosy affair, with 60 guests—who now feel like family—joining us for an unforgettable evening.
The kitchen prepared an exceptional menu, featuring highlights like Roasted Butternut Soup, Honey-Glazed Gammon, Beef Wellington, Potato au Gratin, Pumpkin Fritters, and Blueberry Cheesecake Tartlets.
Christmas Day Celebrations
Christmas Day was filled with joy and tradition:
• A special Christmas service in the Wyndford Church at 10:00, reminding us of the reason for the season.
• Christmas cake served at the historic Summer House, built by Italian POWs.
• Santa’s arrival in our revamped Skilari, thrilling the children.
• A festive lunch featuring marinated lamb on the spit, spareribs, salads, and decadent desserts like Wyndford Trifle and Pavlovas, all enjoyed under the shade of The Willow.
New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball
We rang in 2025 with an unforgettable Masquerade Ball! Guests donned elegant masks and danced the night away to live music by the talented Neil Nachtrein, a local artist who brought energy and excitement to the evening.

Fouriesburg Tourism NPC
Last month marked a milestone for the greater Fouriesburg area with the establishment of the Fouriesburg Tourism NPC. This organization aims to promote tourism and showcase the incredible attractions of our region.
I am honoured to have been elected as chairman of the NPC and look forward to contributing to the growth and success of tourism in Fouriesburg and beyond
