… (well, unless you are facing exams, I guess) but there is a fresh brightness in all the colours around. The trees are bright green, the sky brighter blue and it might be because we are so used the browns and golds of winter, that the banksia’s look brighter yellow! The sweetpeas continue their pink and purple profusion in the dining room, meanwhile it would appear that we have beaten the Dassie’s tastebuds at the main entrance (ok, only on one side) as we now have cornflowers and daisy’s to the point of flowering!

We awoke to find Buster… well busted. It would appear he and the new stallion Stephans went a few rounds last night. How do you tell if a horse has a black eye…? Dooni our donkey, is settled in well, loves company and has a mind of his own when trying to get him to stay behind the stable gate. Lady is well named and gentle – my kind of gal.
