Junes Joys… from Wyndford

Mid-Winter madness…

With winter in full swing, the trees stand nude with their beautiful forms raised up to the blue skies, you get to see the bones of the tree that are usually hidden by leaves. Magical sunsets and sunrises (yes I did see one!) are the order of the day, making the oranges and pinks in the sandstone come alive. Nestled in all this glory, is a place, where there are no strangers, only friends you haven’t met yet!

The winter experience…

The winter experience has a different feel. Wimbledon and rugby round the fire, where depending on who you are supporting, whoops and yelling (who would be a ref…) can be heard from reception. Spontaneous afternoon concerts by talented guests or fierce completion over board games. Longer walks in temperatures that don’t leave you dripping and gasping for breath, but rather leave you feeling invigorated and toasty. Or like yesterday, quiet braai’s at the pool…no-one has braved swimming yet though!

Catching sunbeams…

Last minute SPECIAL…… Half Price!!

We have an Amazing special coming up for the weekend of the 22 – 24 July 2022! Book and confirm before Midday on Thursday 21st at noon and we will give you a 50% off! Yes really 1/2 PRICE! Round up friends and family and come experience Winter at Wyndford. Don’t delay …

For those of you not so spontaneous among you – Stay with us and experience the Maluti Mighty Men Celebrations from 9 – 11 September, Scrapbooking weekend 16 – 18 September, where you can order your memories, the Cherry Festival or Bowls week in November… is it just me or is this year flying by…

On the family front, Rynhard and Natasja’s son Skulk was dedicated in the church. Rocky had visits from his first family over the weekend and was thoroughly spoilt with hugs and cuddles. Many guests have visited and played in the snow in Lesotho. Felix has been (self) appointed office supervisor. The pigs and spigots have been relocated… and have so far have visited little Wyndford twice… pig wrangling is a new occupation or Erard. As the Smith’s haven’t been able to retire, we are still interested to someone to take over the baton of ownership. Recently discovered that the first asking price for the Wyndford in the early part of the last century, was £10,000 – some more history in the next edition!

So, don’t miss out on the special…? Felix is ready for your call… he is particularly good with a mouse. The fire is on and we are waiting with warm welcomes.

Have a look at our accommodation page to see what we can offer you!
