Feeling the need to escape?
To walk free in the mountains… look at different views, eating food you didn’t have to make, ride a bike for as long as you like, play tennis with friends…
We are looking forward to being able to have you back! Not sure when exactly – but we will certainly let you know. Along with others in our industry we are in limbo waiting for the go ahead to start up – with 40 staff, all bread winners for their extended families, and our considerable overheads, having paid for business interruption for many years it was disappointing to have our claim rejected by Santam. Can we start up again? Not sure…
In the meanwhile we have worked on careful planning and cleaning methods to protect our guests and staff in the weeks and months ahead. We have always tried to maintain the highest level of sanitization possible and with extra precautions we trust that you will soon be ‘home from home’ and making memories again.
Having said that, we are still looking to retire and if anyone has decided enough is enough of the city, please get in touch. lindy@wyndford.co.za
Today was spent rolling up the grass for the animal feed. A busy dusty but satisfying day – and I was just watching! It is that time of year when dust abounds… takes getting used to the browns and gold of winter and the garden is certainly in hibernation along with the tortoises! Especially after some minus 7 mornings…
Walking around this afternoon with the crispy crunch of fallen leaves and pine cones underfoot – looking for a little something green actually, I came across a few snowdrops and some struggling hellibores which remind us that when all looks bleak… some joy peeps through.
Until then, warm and happy greetings from us all
